Use two denominations of chips. Have the first equal to the SB. And then have another chip equal to 10x that.
With the wide spread between values you allow most of the action to occur with the one color, but players holding multiple buyins (hopefully you're the one winning) won't need tons of chips in front of them by using the second chip. So for a $1/2 game $200 max buy in a player is given 100 $1 chips and ten $10 chips. Have players be respectful and keep their chips in stacks of 20, and when placing them in the pot the dealer should stack them in groups of 20 so they can be counted easily count easier. No splashing and no hands in the pot but the dealers. |

That's my answer: shame. Anyone who insists on making their raise exactly what's in the pot deserves to be ribbed and derided.
