Inexpensive Playing Cards
Anyone out there know a good place to buy playing cards cheaply? Used cards from casinos, cards in bulk, etc...?

Re: Inexpensive Playing Cards
I bought several small cases (64 deck) on ebay. They were used casino cards but were practially brand new. These cards would only lastabout 10-12 hours of play before I would trash them and break out 4 new decks. We bought 2 sets of Copag's last winter and are still playing with them now - probably 160+ hours and they still look and feel brand new. It is definately worth the $20-30 bucks for a set of Copag's or Kem's.

Re: Inexpensive Playing Cards
The best thing to do is to buy some Dal-Negro Torcello PVC cards. They cost less than $20 for two decks and they will last damn near forever. After a couple months of use, just drop them in a sink with soapy water, maybe rub them with a sponge, rinse them off, and they're like brand new again. Best investment I ever made for my home game.

Re: Inexpensive Playing Cards
Unless you need a large volume of cards for a short time period, invest in better cards like Copags, KEMs, etc. The Copags go for about $17 for two decks and will last much longer than cheap/recycled paper cards.
They're also much harder to mark/destroy |

Re: Inexpensive Playing Cards
This is the cheapest I've found -- but I haven't looked hard.
Cheap Cards I agree with everyone about the Copag's and assume the other premium decks are just as good. However, I kind of think it's classy to start a poker game with two brand new decks of cards, to break the seal in front of your guests etc. At these prices, the cost of this 'fun' is less than a buck a poker game. Obviously this is a personal preference. Also, having children, and several of the old Kem decks that now have somewhere between 49 and 51 cards (Kids are great at losing cards), I think that having cheap cards around to give them a deck whenever needed is great. |

Re: Inexpensive Playing Cards
Give your kids some Royals. They'll last longer and it's all they're really good for.
