Default AK misses the flop early in a $30 multi on Party

Very early in a 30 multi, 3rd hand or something. I miss the flop but it's not very threatening and has 2 flush cards. He checks, I make a continuation bet and he minraises me. What's my play here? Is it too early to be wasting any time with AK, should I throw it away, call and see the next card, raise to see what he does?

Your continuation bet is too small. You need to make 3/4 to maybe a little more than a full pot bet here because of the size of the stacks and the 2 flush on the board. After that if villain comes over the top you're done with the hand. When you make a smallish bet here a lot of people will believe that's weakness and put you to the test.

The minraise means 1 of 3 things:

He has a set.
He has a flush draw.
He's bluffing you out.

What it actually is depends on his playing style. Do you have any big reads on him? If he's fishy, he likely has a set or a flush draw. If he's aggressive, he's likely bluffing.

It's too early in the tourney and I'm quite sure you do not have any reads. Looks like a flopped set. Muck.

BTW, I can't recall who said or wrote it: You can fell in love with big slick but you don't have to get married to it.

Your flop bet is too weak. Party 30+3s you gotta 2/3 pot it, or check/raise the flop.

I call here and re-evaluate on the turn, possibly call a turn/river bet if it's weak. Can't be folding to a min bet like that, it's weak tight, and it's really not that much.

I also like leading the turn and folding to a significant reaise, improved or not. Often you'll get a fold.

I ended up reraising flop and he called, then he checked turn, I pushed. He turns over flush draw. Is this going too far with AK early in a tourney, or at any time, as other posts on the subject have suggested?
