one question that has not been answered by any of us. why do we think it's okay to make racial jokes on an anonymous online poker chat, but none of us will do it in public at a live game? what makes it okay to do so? why is it okay to do it behind a computer screen where we wouldn't do it in front of strangers in a restaurant or at a casino? i need to know this answer so that i can argue with all the guys who call me a pussy.

i just need a comeback to tell them when i start making fun of wetbacks, sand niggers, and jews at the poker tables and people get offended. after all, if i saw it in a tv show, i have the right to repeat it online. give me reasons why its okay to hide behind a username? i need to know what to tell all these insensitive morons? and for all the guys who are offended by the racial slurs in the post, you have a right to not be offended, so don't be!!!

The reason many people won't make these type jokes in a live game is obvious.

You're attributing my saying "velly rice" and making fun of a speech problem that many asians experience when trying to speak english, with words and comments that are outright derogatory and meant to offend specific groups and put those people down.

according to you, the way a person takes offense to a comment is determined by the intention of the offender. if i don't hate sand niggers or think that they are inferior to me, is it still okay for me to call them one. maybe they will get offended by it. but according to you, it's intent that determines how offensive a joke or comment is. you may not think that saying velly rice or watever is offensive, but to others, it is. just because you saw it on tv or don't think asians are inferior doesn't make it okay, just like i shouldn't use the term wetback because i personally don't find it offensive.
