Default WVU v Syracuse

Any thoughts on this one tonight?

WVU returns home after about a month.
WVU winning by an everage of 20.5 at home.
Syracuse averaging 8.3 points vs ranked opponets. Averaging 5ppg when on the road vs ranked opponent.

Line is 16, and I think that WVU will cover.

I had many of the same thoughts as you and was interested in this line at 17.

It's down to 15.5 now so I decided to give it a shot.

Good Luck Micro.

It is not a SUPER play or anything, but I like it nonetheless...and there are no other games tonight...so that seals the deal.

Hopefully I can get it at 15.5 (or lower) also.

Now down to -15 at Pinnacle.

Evidently there are a number of bettors out there who think oppositely of you and me.

I took a teaser when it was 16. I took Syracuse +22 and the under 56.5. Syracuse has a freshman QB who finally looked like he was coming around against Florida State. They also had an offweak and some time to prepare for this game. West Virginia is a ball control team, so they like to run a bunch and will only run up the score if the other team has a bunch of turnovers. That ball control offense is also a good reason to take the under. These are two teams that line up and run even though everyone knows that is what they are going to do. Running = fast quarters, fast quarters = fast game, fast game = low score.

Yes,

I like the under (49 I think) as well.

Syracuse scores little vs ranked teams (small sample - 3 games).

WVU likes to run.

I am looking at a 24-10 type of game. If not less.

This makes me feel kinda strange that everyone was so far on the other side of this as I was. UVW beat UConn last week, but wasnt very impressive doing it with an overall sloppy offensive performance and a lackluster defensive one giving up nearly 370 yards of offense against a moderately bad team.

Syracuse, on the other hand scared the living bejeezus out of Florida State (a much better team than the Mountaineers no matter how much I hate them as a Georgia Tech fan). The Orangeman D held the Noles to only 17 points.

I dont like Syracuse to win this game, but with them getting 16 with their defense looking good and UWV's defense looking suspect, I found the +16 a good looking line and took it.

Eh, this hasnt been my best college handicapping year though, so who knows .

Just my 2 cents,

You know, if Syracuse's kicker and punter were any better than my pet cats would be, I'd look a lot better right about now. As far as my analysis, WV's defense was shaky enough to not cover the spread, but that was the worst special teams performance of the new millenium.

Like I said, this has not been my best college handicapping year.

Oh well
