This might not be the best weekend. Waits will be long and there is a tournament going on which, I suspect, will use the higher quality dealers.

I just got back and the place is bananas! Act 1 games are upstairs but the act 2 and other tourney games are in the Sunset Ball Room (Great Cedars Hotel enterance). Oh by the way, as expected, most of the pros are there (TJ, Men the Master), so bring your A game.

I was there yesterday. The cash games were packed with long waits. The satellites (which are downstairs) were also quite busy, although it was pretty easy to get a seat. On the weekend, it might be a bigger zoo, however. Bottom line, get there early.

Anyone know how early I should get there to register for the $500 NL tourney on Sunday? The tourney starts at 10am and I think registration starts at 7am. Do I really have to get there at 7am?

no, an hr b4 will be fine.
It will be held in the ball room, and they can accomidate a very large field, probably over 2K.

I don't think anybody really knows how many people are going to show for the events this weekend. Last year the cheapest events were around $350. Not only were these events capped, but every table was 11 handed. Because the lowest buy-in events are now $500+65, its hard to predict if the turnout will we similar to last year or not.

If you show up an hour before the start of the tournament, you could very well find yourself shut out.

If you are going to be at Foxwoods the day before an event you intend to play, they should be doing registrations in the eveneing for the following days event down in the ballroom. They were doing this last year and I see no reason why they would not continue with this.

My understanding is that the NL events fill quickly. I'm told that the WPT limit events tend not to fill so quickly.

There are taking registrations for ALL events now, so if you find yourself at the casino any time prior to the events you wish to play then it would save you a long wait in line to pay earlier.
