I am MP1: 2 players limp and I raise with A-Kd... player immediately behind me goes to cold call in a feable attempt to spike a set.

There's nothing feeble about limping in with 77-99 here. He may even be correct to limp with worse pocket pairs.

He didn't limp he coldcalled a raise with pocket 5's! That can't possibly be correct!

To everyone about the "angle shoot" angle:

I didn't insist on it being a raise... I just asked the dealer if it was in fact a raise since the player didn't announce a raise. To me it could be construed as angle shooting b/c I was 95% sure that the player did not intend to raise, which it may very well be.

I think the definition of angle shooting is open to interuptation. Asking a quesiton to the dealer when you know what the answer should and will be about a player who isn't paying attention and puts too much in the pot... is that an angle shoot. I didn't force the dealer to make the ruling that she did... nor did I force the player to be involved in a conversation and not paying attention. Does simply taking advantage of a situation make it angle shooting??

Also, for what its worth I am not a 62 year old nit, who can barely breakeven in the game... but if you are... I would love to play you!

There's nothing feeble about cold-calling with 77-99 here. 55 is generally too weak to cold-call with from MP2, but at certain tables, I'd do it.
