Default People in wheelchairs

This is probably pretty ignorant...but why aren't more people in wheelchairs fat? It just struck me this morning as I saw two very skinny people in wheelchairs that most of them are average or even skinny. Why? How do they exercise?

Well, ever since I got drunk and lost my legs in the train accident, I've had an incredible urge to dance. This has kept me thin.

Really? I've actually noticed quite the opposite. A lot of people in wheelchairs seem to just be fat old ladies who are too lazy to walk.

I imagine those w/o motorized wheelchairs get exercise from pumping those wheels all day long.

Also these people have to drag themselves around by their arms if they are not in the chair (getting in and out of bed, onto the toilet, etc). That takes some energy, and is probably motivation for keeping the weight down as well.

This is a disgusting trait in people. If they aren't gonna use their legs they should give them to war vets and diabetics who've lost their legs. I hate seeing this. You see this a lot in casinos. Fat old people in wheelchairs sticking coin after coin of their retirement money into an Effin slot machine. One of the most disgusting things you can see. It's up there with witnessing a r*ping.

Why do you think most of them are diabetic?
