Default CNE Card Room - Toronto

For those in Toronto or just visiting, I just found out the CNE card room and casino is open starting Tuesday, Aug 2 and running until its usual labour day.

Lots of 5/10 and 10/20. I preferred the old location in the CNE but no big deal. I usually go there a few times every year looking for fish but last year I went on opening day, right at the start (like 10 AM on a Monday), and the place was already jammed with players I recognized. Better to wait. And remember the first time to get your pass if you want to come back and not have to pay the admission again. Though I don't know how they will work it this year as the midway and the other stuff won't open until the 15th or whatever. It's a good ring game there for sure.

CNE games play like online $0.02/$0.04. highly recommended.

(okay, i dont really know what 2c/4c is like, but these games are way softer than party .5/1)

20 minute walk, I'd say, from the Skydome. Use the Lakeshore or King St. streetcar if you don't wanna walk.

I've been reconsidering whether I'll go or not. If you have never been, it is a bit of a zoo. Like 30 tables crammed into a small space. Long waits. No food except goddamn midway food really, although I like those little donuts you can only get there.

Forget about dominating with AK there, I couldn't believe what donkey cards were cold calling my raises back in 02'(the last time I played there). I think all the GA wastees in the greater Toronto area are gathered in one cardroom........ Hi there,

A Hamiltonian here

I haven't been to this place. Do they spread NL? Please tell me they do....

If so, is this place right at the CNE? Any ideas for parking cheap?

Ryan

no. 5/10 and 10/20 is all they had last year, so i assume it will be the same this year.

nope. you'll have to pay the first time you go, unless you wanna park somewhere far away and take the ttc. once you're there though you can get a VIP pass from the casino and get in for free if you go again.

Cool.

Well I'm not going unless there's NL. Please post if there is NL this year, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
