Default Cowboys.

First orbit. No reads yet.

Paradise Poker 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG (poster) checks, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, SB calls, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (13 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, BB calls.

I was guessing that villain is playing almost any two (which means I'm either WA/WB). I figure I cap, if villain leads the turn then I call down.

Turn: (10.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (12.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14.50 BB

The only other way to play this is start calling down after he 3 bets you on the flop imo. Always read depended.

I'm just calling down an unknown after he three-bets the flop. You capped pf and he doesn't care on the flop which isn't awesome unless he's crazy.

You're up against a range of hands if he's an overly aggressive, slightly savvy player: AK-AJ, AA-88. There you're likely way ahead and your flop play is groovy.

Against a tried and true anytwofacecards halfwit, you're capping his trips for him. While it's funny, I wouldn't do it at a 10/20 table.

I'd just call three times.

Flop: Call?
Turn: Call?
River: Call?

Why? How?

What hands do you want anybody to fold?

How good is that flop raise if he has TT or AA or Jx?

I'd just as soon keep everyone around.

I knew what you were impying, but shouldn't you try and sneak in a raise somewhere?

There are problems with calling the flop, but there are also problems with raising.

Calling the flop and turn and raising the river seems like an interesting play here. Since the caller will oftentimes be drawing dead to what we hold, we encourage him to call all the way. Since he won't have [censored] on the river and wont overcall with nothing, we pop it there and hope that the flop bettor pays off with TT or whatever. If he has AA he will be less likely to 3-bet us as well.

I honestly doubt it, but if the small blind folded the flop I might raise one of the bigger streets.

Another thing to consider, (and something that makes my call/call/call line not so hot), is that many players will call all the way down w/ 77 here even in the face of multiple raises.

(But, against someone who isn't a retard I'd just let him keep firing.)
