Default Congratulations on your finish, jw

Good job with the lack of cards.

So I had a question about folding equity... when you had less than the big blind, you obviously have no folding equity--you'll have to win a showdown, yeah? But with a sizeable bet in front of you, doesn't that kinda protect your folding equity, as everyone behind you will likely fold now, and you may get a HU? In order to call, you still need a hand, but you could call with a hand that's not great multi-handed, yeah? like a pair of fours?

Ax?

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this...

[edit: I realize a call might still get you head's up with the BB, but with the raiser, you've got larger pot equity, too]

That was the most timid effective play I've ever seen. I'm sure you were card dead, but you effectively limped from 20 spots before the cash all the to 75th, up a bunch of payment levels along the way. Well done!!!

Didn't even see the thread until now.

I busted out 16th, forced into my BB unexpectedly with A7 with 8000 left after posting 15,000 on my BB. The SB put me allin with A8 and I lost, obviously. My handle on Partypoker is John_Maximus.
