Default Check/Folding QQ

No reads, just sat down.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

CO ($24.65)
Button ($54.20)
Hero ($24.75)
BB ($27.40)
UTG ($24.50)
MP ($53.74)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
3 folds, Button calls $0.25, Hero (poster) raises to $1.4, 1 fold, Button calls $1.25.

Flop: ($3.25) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $3.1, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $6.35

Feels awfully weak but I don't think I have too much chance to make any money here. Played OK, or is there a better line? Seems like anything else would require me potentially losimg alot to win a small amount

bet $2.50 on the flop.

if he calls, then you can consider check/folding the turn and river.

that's still a 2/3 bet that I feel gets called 2/3 of the time. in the 2 orbits i've sat villain has been betting and calling a high percentage of those hands. if he does call I'm certainly not leading turn.

At this limit, people will call down with weak aces. Unless you have a read that villain is weak-tight, I would check/fold. There isn't enough money in the pot to justify a semi-bluff.

At higher limits, I would probably make a continuation bet on the flop, in which case a weak ace might fold.

What is he open limping and then calling a raise with here that connects on that flop? That flop probably looks as scary to him as it does to you, people that open limp with all kinds of suited trash at $25 NL. He probably has something like 73 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Bet $2 and then check/fold if he calls it. You will pick it up more than half the time.

I like it.

Another thing no one's mentioned is almost alwyas a pot bet from an unknown at 25 NL is a real hand, especially into a preflop raiser.
