Default Getting a rakeback or not?

I have spent alot of time understanding rakebacks and how they work due to the wonderful search function of this forum. But my question is this. Currently I play 5-7.5K hands per month at .50/1. I have just about completed 10,000 hands at this level and am considering moving up. And obviously I jump around and bonus whore just like the next guy. But to make the rakeback effective you should probably just play one site that gives you the best rake return and obviously keeping in mind the best site in which to play. So at what stakes game does it make sense to give up the bonus whoring and just focus on one or two sites with good rakebacks? Thanks in advance.

Get a rakeback account at a site like eurobet which doesn't have many reloads. Then, play all the reloads at party, empire, pokernow, and when you aren't playing those, play eurobet. It's simple.

I get a 23% rakeback at pokerNow and play party/empire etc only during reloads. It works out for me.

Buy another monitor and play 4 rakeback and 4 bonus tables at all times.

rakeback is a must once you get to 2/4 and up. until then then bonus whoring is worth more. once you get to 3/6 and especially 5/10 you will play almost exclusively under your rakeback site. the bonus has to be really good to be worth your time at that point.

So the 5/10+ player: reload bonus = rake back?

how can u calculate it?

I am not sure about 5/10 and up... but I am pretty positive that 3/6 is not the cut off for rakeback vs. bonus.

Example:
Reload bonus of $100. 7xBonus raked hands. If you played 700 raked hands at 3/6 and have a decent rakeback (25%)... you would have to pay $400 dollars in rakeback while you played the 700 raked hands. Which means you would have to pay about $0.15 per raked hand. I do not have the numbers with me... but I do not see how this is possible.

Can someone check my math or assumptions on this?

$100 bonus for 700 hands = $.14 per hand

To equal that in 25% rakeback you would have to pay in $.56 of rake so if you're at a full table the rake would have to be $5.60 which ain't gonna happen like you said.

Looks like 2-3 handed ($3/$6+) would net you more doing rakeback than a bonus though.

Knew my math was wrong. But the theory was not. Thanks... just checking. With all these bonuses lately... I have been working off bonuses more than anything.
