Default Fortunate Pai Gow w No Comission but Forced Fortune Bet

I don't have the fortunate payouts at hand but I saw that a new small pit casino in my area (five tables, spanish 21, pai gow, 3-card, etc) is spreading commision free Fortune Pai Gow if you bet a minimum of $5 on the fortune side bet. Assuming that the fortune payouts are as atrocrious as ever, do you think its possible that you could overcome the house edge due to the no commision on the straight bet (i.e. bet size on the straight bet with a minimum fortune bet)? My own idiotic theoretical musings tell me no but I wanted to check with you guys.

This is not exact but if your base bet is @ $100 or more this is a very good deal no matter the payout on the Fortune side bet.

Yeah its off the reservation so the max bet is 200. So if you were playing 200 a hand with a 5 fortune bet you might have an edge, eh? I'll have to look at it more seriously.

How are they offering the bank? Some games you can get the bank every other hand (if nobody else wants it) and the house will cover your action.

I've seen where the house will split the bank with you but never let you bank and cover the action... I need to check on this as obviously the bank rules at the commission free table could be a major factor. I hope by the time I figure out my expect WR, standard deviation and required BR someone else hasn't burned it I'm a slowpoke.

Default Bank Options

In Pai Gow Poker the rules are strange. In Pai Gow Tiles (Chinese Pai Gow) you can get the bank every other hand, and bank the entire table. The house will even bet against you, up to a max of one lower unit over your last bet to them (if you bet $100 to them, they'll bet $125 to your bank). Always search Pai Gow tables for a lot of drunk action.

Thats why i like Paigow at the so cal casinos...you are not playing against the house...you are going against the other players (corporation bankers) ++EV using joker wild optimal strategy.
