Re: Small quirky pot vs. Gobboboy
looks like a good play, if you have the best hand, and there's a side pot, you can at the very least get that back and also reduce the field for the main pot with a fragile holding..
I really only check down in these situations when it's the FT or something, and knocking someone out would be >> me winning the pot. (for the money increase) |

Re: Small quirky pot vs. Gobboboy
better than why you bet w/ your 23o, is why didnt gobbo raise to isolate those guys? you raise from the SB and bb is going to give you a pretty good amount of credit since you have to showdown your hand anynway. so by raising you win 2k right away, and you're freerolling vs the blinds for almost 40k.
-- edit: to be clear, i'm saying to raise this PF. |

Re: Small quirky pot vs. Gobboboy
I already said it was a bad play, stop raggin on me guys.
Yeah, I should've raised. I just wanted to knock out the guys. Had I known you didn't care, then I would've raised. |

K5d. [/ QUOTE ] This is exactly the type of hand that he wants to fold. How dumb would he feel if a 5 hit the turn and you won the whole pot with your pair of 5s and the other two guys both had ace high? |
