Default Realistic Win Rates at Pary 5/10 & 10/20

What are some realistic win rates at PP 5/10 and 10/20 over the long haul? I have been playing 2 years and just started using Poker Office! What is a good sample size for discovering win rates? I appreciate all honest responses in advance!

Thanks

I don't know what are realistic win rate, but I'm going to give the oh so helpful input of "If you've been playing for 2 years and you're not broke, you're doing fine."

Sample size for an accurate win rate is discussed often on this board, and the answer isn't pleasant. Basically, the long run is so long that your skill and the skill of your opponents (game conditions) change faster than your winrate converges, so you really can't ever be accurate to within less than 0.4 BB/100 or so. After a quarter million hands, it's reasonable to be confident that you are in the ballpark; but even then, many posters have talked about 50K hand rushes or downswings, which obviously change the overall winrate significantly. Thus, the comment that if you are up at all after 2 yrs, you're doing OK.

Most people here do not freely discuss their own winrates, as it devolves into a penis measuring/exaggeration contest. A totally generic unhelpful answer is 1BB/100 at full ring is healthy, 1.5 BB/100 at 6max also healthy. Are you "the best" at those rates? No. However, anyone claiming 4BB/100 is often referred to the "variance is a bitch" posts for a reality check, or told to play a few hundred thousand more hands.
If you really want a measure of where you stand versus the big boys, watch for a "2+2 donkfest" game posting, and try your luck. Your win/loss at that game won't matter, but you'll have an idea how outclassed you are against 30/60 winners and up, without having to play 30/60.

Honestly... I am not sure.

I have ran really bad and really good.

My fist 60,000 hands were break even due to a 550BB down swing.

My next 40,000 I ran well above 2bb/100.

My last 40,000 I have been around 1BB/100.

So I either suck ass... which I sometimes feel is possible.

Or I really rock, Which sometimes I feel I do.

Or I am an OK player with a lot to learn... which is probably the most healthy attitude to take.

My favorite answer in this thread is if you have been playing for 2 years and your not broke yet...you are doing fine. I think that is true.
