Default performance question

my internet connect6ion works reasonably well. high speed. i have a dell which has been wracked by virus problems the last couple years. although the net is quick enough, i keep getting this thing where when i drag the mouse the cursor choppily moves across the screen, and i can't do anything. it usually lasts about 10 seconds, but sometimes longer. how do i fix this?

Default Re: performance question

honestly? FFR.

FDISK, Format, Reinstall. Then install AVG, adaware and spybot.

I say this because you have an old windows installation that has had virus problems for "years". Screw it, burn the porn/mp3/PT database to CDROM (probably not in that order) and reinstall.
