Default Empire VIP question

Did anyone reach the level at Empire to earn the plasma screen? I'm about 3 months short of it, and not playing at EMpire since the PArty/Empire split, but I'm wondering if the reward might be worth trying to get myself to the points level. Anyone know what the plasma screen is? size or make?

I remember reading on here before that it wasn't capable of 1600x1200 resolution. If thats true, it certainly isn't worth enough to steer your play, IMO.
I'm sure someone else can give you first hand info, or a link to a previous post. Microbob maybe?

I'm in a similar situation. Is it the LCD monitor at 50,000 points? If it's 15in it's not worth it.

Price a good plasma TV and see if the cost justifies the delta in expectation. (Assuming the delta is negative, which it most certainly is, I really doubt it will be worth it. Also, plasma isn't the best way to go IMO.)

I don't think it's worth it at all. It's a 17' flat screen LCD from Samsung. And like the other guy said he sold it on Ebay for something like 230+. Ok so it might be worth a little more but not much more.

Amazingly, the TV is actually worth more the LCD monitor, which makes little sense. So no, playing for the monitor is definitely not worth it.

Hey david,

I completed all the point rewards. The vegas trip was the best of all of them. Here is a my basic TR.

I just got done the free vegas trip and to be honest, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. They paid for the flight there, 4 nights in the bellagio, a limo to and from the airport and $1000 cash. A little while after we checked in, we got a delivery from EP that was a plate of fruit and chocolate truffles which probably cost $60 the way stuff in the bellagio is priced.

I never quite understood this:
Approximate retail prices
$175 watch @ 15K
$350 Sony TV @ 25K
$300 LCD @ 50K
Decent watch at 15K hands, and only 10K hands later a nice TV (which costs a bundle to ship btw), then you have to get 25K more hands to get a crappy LCD monitor that won't even do 4 tables.

Not only is the way you accumulate points absurd but even more assinine is the prize structure for the points you do earn.
