Re: Free showdown
i don't like the flop call at all, but calling that turn 3bet is CRAZY. seriously what are you hoping for when you call that?

Re: Free showdown
I'd fold or raise the flop. Against a decent player, I'd be more inclined to raise, because I would usually lead a 7, but c/r an A.
If you call for whatever reason, fold the turn. If you're intent on showing it down, raising is better than calling down. Calling the 3-bet is horrendous. And you forgot to catch a 9 on the river. All around poorly played. |

Re: Free showdown
don't show the river action. Show the turn action, and ask the question, "will we get a free SD out of this?" I think you were lucky to get a free showdown, but it doesn't matter since you're almost always beat. You just scared him into thinking you have trips or better.

Re: Free showdown
Raising the turn isn't a bad idea. There may be better lines like raising in the flop. However, you must fold to a 3-bet.

Re: Free showdown
(grunching)
I think you either need to raise or fold this flop. The hand plays easier after you do that. If BB still shows aggresstion by betting the turn into you, then I fold. Since you decided to raise the turn though, I am definately folding to the 3-bet here. He most likely has the ace. |
