Default definition anyone?

I've read several recent posts about problem hands concerning "tricky" players, with the poster describing the villain as "tricky" in certain situations, or with no description at all. Problem is, when the poster describes such "trickiness," the descriptions are at best vaguely similar and at worst completely different. Obviously this leads me to think that many players consider "tricky" different things. I'm curious as to what people actually think and define a "tricky player" as.

a little too loose, mixes up his play, difficult to read him for a hand.

A tricky player is someone who you can't easily put on a hand, who raises with draws sometimes and calls sometimes with nothing in order to set up a bluff, who likes to check-raise.

Tricky players like to see flops in raised pots with speculative hands, but they'll fold trap hands; after some huge betting, they'll show down 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] but not A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and usually they'll show it down having won a big pot or missed a big draw.

They like to make moves.

In short, they're action you don't want, since they'll put your stack in jeopardy and you won't know where you stand with them.
