from the archives, listen to clarkmeister

That's a good thread, but there's a big difference between 3 awful / predictable players in a 3/6 game, and a tight limper + aggro blinds in a 30/60 game. A limp here is just bad given the lineup.

If you tell me the limper is a 70/20 fish then I'll like it more. If you say he's tight, but both blinds only raise 10% of the time, I like it more.

We have to consider the situation, and that quality archive post can be misconstrued so ppl start overlimping 53s on the btn after a limper without considering the stats of the limper and blinds, and how big our postflop skill advantage is.

Surf,

I agree that these are all considerations, and everyone's advice should be taken with a grain of salt - it's worth what you paid for it . in the second thread I posted (the one where clark lays the smack down), there are actually two limpers - which makes a damn lot of difference.

The main focus, I suppose, was to present a lot of the arguments for and against, made by ppl better than me. in 2/3 of the threads, there is a lot of debate and no real consensus at first. so it's a good resource for both sides.

bro, you OWN the search function. I couldn't find my OWN posts with it.

I'm glad you brought those up, I just felt the need to issue a warning - 2 limpers is way different from 1 tight limper and aggro blinds. We aren't dragging a huge profit postflop in this situation since the LAGs will cause us to make mistakes and the tight limper wont do the calling-station thing to pay us off.

Those were good threads though, definitely.

Huge difference. They are good threads. Noone here is going to say no to limping behind limpers.

I think I obs'ed this hand. I wondered wtf your hand could possibly be here. you're pretty much repping A2s and a bunch of unrealistic hands.

so

if i had a hand like K3s or something that I overlimped, would you use this line? it's pretty clear opponent has nothing.

Without having read any of the responses: You ask whether this is a good "spot" for the bluff raise, but that question is usually at least as dependent on the opponent as on the cards. And without knowing more info about the opponent than you give it's basically spewing -- especially with such a relatively small pot.

You don't overlimp Kxs, do you? That's bad imo.

Also, while it looks like villain may be bluffing we have to be correct a very very high %age of the time because the pot is so small.

I don't see how this is such a slam dunk and I don't understand how most of the replies are indicative of villain having air. Why is that so clear to everyone?

Geez, after 12 years of playing hold'em I guess I should be able to see through this without needing glasses. You guys never cease to come up with ways to make me feel like a n00b.
