Default Propping in Las Vegas?

Anyone know any rooms in Vegas that use props?

Has anyone done it?

Any information about propping live games or how to get started doing this would be great. I tried googling this but only came up with information about online propping.

There are a handful of poker roooms in Vegas that use props. Check out the Boyd Gaming owned properties. They regularly post advertisements for prop jobs at casinos such as Sams Town.

do they really need props in LV, seems like there are enough locals + visitors to fill most rooms.

While a few rooms do run well out here-- there are rooms that have a hard time getting butts in the seats---the off the strip rooms during the week need help---some on the strip are not THE PLACE TO PLAY -- and with all the places adding rooms and or tables, props. are making there way back....

I know of only ONE person who is actually paid to prop, and it ain't that much, and ain't at decent stakes either.

"Certain" rooms rope their dealers into propping, usually to the great detriment of the dealers.

I suggest giving up on the idea of propping in las vegas, it's a dying profession that's pretty much dead here.

Texas Station & Palace Station have had the same ones for years (Jeff & Ruth). So I think the prop jobs are filled in those two rooms.

Plaza would be your best bet I would think. They go though props like crazy (or at least they used to).

I met a prop at a Vegas strip hotel. He played swing shift and was the only prop on the clock. The guy said that almost none of the rooms use props. He got minimum wage, and I doubt he earned enough to cover his nightly losses.

As I understand it, AZ and CA rooms use props, and pay relatively well, with benefits. I know Canterbury in MN uses no props, but when it's slow they often have dealers play on the clock.
