Default desperation bet on the river, blind play

Villain is 44/0/0 over 25 hands

Party Poker 3/6 (6max, 6handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks, CO checks.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets, CO calls.

River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets...

all postflop streets very debatable IMO.

I seem to get a lot of these type hands in the BB, and they suck in an unraised pot agaisnt a loose passive. 25 hands is not enough to really get a read on, but if his stats hold up, he could have anything, including a Q or a K.

The way I would play it(not saying it is correct, just the way I normally play it), is exactly like you did, except I would just check/fold the river as well and expect him to show down some pair, possibly even an A/J with a 7 or 2.

All that said, I am open to suggestions as well.

I tend to check/fold till the river. Then I'll bet fold.
