Default I almost folded

Background info:

Villan is reasonably donkish for this level. Has made quite a few blunders to build his stack. Generally calls on draws.

Against a good opponent I would fold here just about everytime . Everything about the way this hand was handled by a tricky villan would scream, AA, KK or flopped set. In this case I figured it was pretty likely I was ahead.

AsKs bites you on the river, eh.

I pay off these kinds of clowns far too often, so I don't feel qualified to speak here.

No I wouldn't have minded paying that hand off so much.

i like a little more like $30 on the turn- defining your hand makes this easier on yourself. $21 just feels weak. when he comes over the top of weak 1/2 pot bet on the turn, his possible hand range is wider than what it would be if he came over the top of another 3/4 pot bet. i think you made this a tougher decision than it could have been.

This advice seems overly theoretical.

Villan showed 88 for a turned set and I managed to get my whole stack in on the turn. At the time I figured I was ahead to either 1010 or JJ. It turns out I am wrong I have been running to an overwhelming amount of sets lately and have not been getting paid off on my good hands...end rant.
