How much do you raise here?
Online tournament. We're in the $$ and I have just got moved to a new table and have no information on anyone.
Blinds are 750/1500. I have t17500. All limp to me 3 off the button and I have AJo. Do I put in a raise of 3-4x, 2x, all-in? M is low (approx. 8), but Q is good. I chose to go all-in and was called by 77 in the BB and I lost the race. Bad play by me, opponent, opponent and me? I just wasn't sure if I got moved in on after a standard raise if I could lay it down or not. Anybody play it a little less aggressively? |

Re: How much do you raise here?
i like pushing here.. not many people limp AQ+ JJ+, so your push likely picks the pot up, and if it doesnt you're in t a flip

Re: How much do you raise here?
Big correction: meant to say, all folded to me, not all limped to me.
Does this change it from a push at all? |

Re: How much do you raise here?
you have enough chips to make a reasonable 3xBB raise and see what happens. If overcards come to his 77 and you bet, he may fold the flop. If he pushes pre-flop, you have to decide if this is the hand you want to go to war with.

Re: How much do you raise here?
It would be helpful to have the stack sizes.
I probably push here as well. Too good of a hand to fold and a raise to 3-4 X BB commits the rest of your chips. I could actually see an argument for a minimum raise as it will indicate a possible monster to observant opponents and allow you to get away if you miss completely. I end up going with the push because I really don't want to be called by someone in LP and be out of position on the flop. |

Re: How much do you raise here?
I had t17500, average stack was less than t10000.
My opponent had me covered by about t2000. |
