Operation Northwoods is an example of a conspiracy by the US government to manufacture terrorist attacks against american civilians in order to drum up support for invading Cuba. Thank God it was never pursued but it is solid proof that a few officials in our government are willing to hurt/kill/terrorize the citizenry they are charged to protect and blame it on a foreign entity.

But I'm sure many of those elitists just see injuring/killing/terrorizing american citizens as "breaking a few eggs to make an omelette."

Heh. That's a compelling one too, but not concrete evidence like the Operation Northwoods declassified documents.

Thanks for the links to the Northwoods stuff. I didn't know about that. I would think those involved could be tried for treason with such documents coming to light. That gives me another little piece of history I didn't know.

I also wasn't up on the lone gunman thing. I think I had heard someone I know who is into those kinds of shows mention it, though.

Now, I want to examine your logic here. There were some military guys back in the cold war who hatched a scenario to incite popular support for a war they wanted to wage...There was a TV show pre 9/11 that errily predicted a plane being flown into the WTC......Therefore, the CIA and Mossad brought down the WTC? Is this what you are saying?
