My thoughts:

I realize that he has a high pocket pair when he caps pre-flop, but somehow I held on to the delusion that he would be afraid of me betting with an ace out there. This idea should have been stricken from my mind when he called on the flop, and I should have checked the turn after.

I've heard of people betting without a hand but this is ridiculous .

What are your cards?

Oh, weird, I thought those showed automatically... 99, one of them was a club.

I don't like reraising with 99s preflop. Given that there's a raise and one person already in the pot, I fold this preflop.
It seems BB had a a pocket pair less than AA and is playing it scared. Propably KK, QQ. Other than that, I like the aggresivenes. Fold to any raise though.
