What do you do here?
20+2 MTT Heads-up for about 20 minutes. First is $500 and second is $350. Blinds are still low at 600/1200 One heck of a battle I started with 90,000 and him with 24,000. Due to miss click and some poor play he came back and had me down 95 to 19, I worked it back up to a small lead then he came back and went up 59 to 55.
Just then his timer runs down. And the big AWAY sign hangs from his neck. I don't know if he has DCed or just had an ass emergency. I do know that I can now basically blind him out. I kind of take my time and blind him down to 100,000 to 14,000 when he comes back a few minutes later. I felt really guilty when I busted him a few hands later. What is the "ethical" thing to do? |

Re: What do you do here?
id bust him, its not your fault he had to leave, he knew that it was going to happen before he left, and i would take advantage of it.
Hes still 2nd place, and made money. |

Re: What do you do here?
Its a personal decision any depends on the players, the amounts and your disposition at the time.
With small low limit prizes in an evenly matched game, where I felt the opponent had earned something. I would estimate his return as $425 ($500+$350)/2; and give him half the distance from 2nd to his estimated return. Or $37.50. I might do 1/3 or a 1/4 in larger stakes particularly if I know the player (online). |
