Default First Vegas trip - Where/When to play of the day\'s I will be there

Me and the girlfriend are heading on a vacation Tommorrow and will be hitting Vegas as part of it next Friday-Sunday (28-30th).

Not really a poker trip, but I am going to play on one of the day's probably Friday or Saturday in the early afternoon to about 9 or so, so we can party it up at night.

Would like a 1/2 NL game that plays similar to the 1/2 at Foxwoods. I found some info in this thread and at allvegaspoker.com but since my request is a little more specifc I was hoping someone might be able to help me out.

So what would be a better day for me Fri or Saturday? And which places have to most games that are good at the time I am looking to play?

Not only do I want a good soft game, but a fun game where I can have some drinks and everyone is having fun would be good too. Even if it is soft I want to avoid a WPT wannabe nit fest and would play a tougher game if it was more lively.

Also, pretty sure there is still no PLO game except an occasional 5/10 at Wynn, but if that has changed let me know cause I would love to play PLO.

First, thats a tough question. Most of the 1/2's play the same out here depending on the time of day. Just pick one and sit it. If you dont like it, move on to the next casino. It's not like there is a shortage of them. Read some reviews at allvegaspoker.com. I saw you went there, but there is a goldmine of information in those trip reports and user reviews.

1/2 NL is the official home of WPT wannabes, they have a club. Seriously, I doubt your gonna avoid those folks.

The MGM is a great room from the fun standpoint and they seem to spread an awful lot of 1/2 nl.

Too bad, but I guess that is the price I will have to pay to play the 1/2 NL. I'm going to bring me some awesome huge ass dumb looking blue blockers shades for when I play to goof off on them.

Anway, MGM grand definetly seems like one of the top places for me to play based on reviews. I'll probably try a few others as well. Probably will give the Wynn a try since it's new and the no-cap could be fun.

Anwyay. I am thinking Saturday should be the better day to play since I am not hitting a prime evening time. Do you guys agree with that? But never been to Vegas before so maybe there are always a lot of games going on Friday as well.

The Wynn has uncapped buyins and high end drinks.
