[ QUOTE ]
I just made a post on this called something like "The third guy always costs the second guy money."

I see this kind of thing all the time. This is one of the ways I lose the most money...

[/ QUOTE ]

The third guy always costs me with the extra raises I put in trying to knock him out of the pot when I have a vulnerable made hand. Some of these guys you couldn't get out of the pot with dynamite.

3/6 B&M casino (so no cool convertor here).

Pre-flop

MP limps with KTo.
Hero limps with 99.
BB raises with 66.
MP and Hero call.

Flop 98J, 2 diamonds.
BB bets out, MP calls. Hero RAISES. BB and MP call.

Turn 3 (offsuit)
Check, check, Hero bets, call call.

River 7. Check, MP now bets. Hero calls and BB thinks and folds.

BB sees the straight and pats himself on the back. "Good fold. I knew he (MP) had me beat, but I think I had you (points to me) beat."

What the hell did he think I had?

And don't even get me started on the fourth guy... Amazingly, he's the only one who's drawing somewhat close to live.

Yesterday at B&M $4/8

5 people see the flop with me on the button with T9s

Flop is T98. Checks to the cutoff who bets and I raise, EVERYONE calls.

Turn is a blank (lets say a 2), everyone checks, and I bet and everyone calls again.

River is a dreaded 7 and somehow it is checked around and I flop my hand face up in disgust but somehow I won the hand.

reallllly makes me wonder what the other 4 people had.

Also today online I got 2 people to call my $25 REraise on the river with KT on a board of KKK33.

Can someone tell me what the XXXX the 3rd guy was hopping for?

[/ QUOTE ]

Heh that third guy w/A7 was pretty funny. Some guys are just determined not to lose, even if they've got the worst hand and nobody's folding.

Looks like he's one of those guys who got told once too often by his mom how great he is, and fell for it.

You have to watch out for collusion here. If he's way loose and way terrible well ok, but if he's simply pumping the pot for someone else that's another matter.

Be alert. Sweden needs lerts.

Here's to to Mr. 3rd guy in the hand man.
Drawing dead with bottom pair and no redraws,
you keep firing away, and calling when necessary.
Wth no chance of winning, you say "hey, that pot is just too big to fold now".
With mouse in hand, you click, click, click bc hey, they might both be on draws...
Here's to you Mr. 3rd Man in the Hand, Man,...

Awesome.
