Even a better reason to have it discussed, no? I don't think anyone was done any favors by rejecting it out of hand.

The discussion is still here, the potential spam is not.

that was whores gone wild.

either the site coded it wrong as presented, or the guy got weak knees from the response. if it were a true tech malfunction or a brilliant marketing plan gone bad will probably forever be unknown here. i now deem that entire fiasco "the legend of the HO' orgasm"

I think all the people with under five posts who suddenly started posting in this thread should sign up and get back to us.

Teach us something and prove that my newbie-rage is unfounded.

Can I just ask what you feel this thread is about?

There's nothing wrong with the question, but it does appear that nobody knows what on Earth this place is.

Also, if you're a genuine noob then sorry, but there are a suspicious number of noobs in this thread and in recent times my BS detector is set to detect even the slightest BSquake.

Although I did not receive a direct repy, this was posted on BW to another poster:

Here's my inquiry and reply from Jane regarding the second bonus amount...

Me: "Wow. There's already people that have completed the 500 raked hands that used the Shark code. They received the $100 first bonus...now what do they have to do? Just keep playing and the next bonus will kick in?"

Jane: "What! That was extremely fast.......I will be able to tell you tomorrow by 8 am who has completed the next 500 raked hands and send the bonus to them immediately tommorrow. Thanks for all your hard work for our site."

I will let you know if I receive it.

I dont doubt the legitimacy of the site. Any money you put in I would have total faith (or as much faith as can be had) that you can get it back out.

Now as far as what the site actually is, thats a debatable question, because I really dont see how you can call it a "skin" when it really is exactly the same as party poker with different (and much worse at least on the base level) promotions.

If I had to guess I would say its basically a giant affiliate setup. The reason they dont have an affiliate program is because they are an affiliate. I'd guess party is the one actually behind it, they at the very least have to be intimitely involved with it, because they are allowing people who already have a party account to basically get another party account. Hell maybe party has lost to many players to other skins, and this is a way to get some of them back. Whatever the reasons are, its definately not a skin and something different.

I know that being a new poster my response won't have very much weight behind it, but today I put in my $500 and I see the $100 bonus..

Even got a call from partypoker to verify my account details as another player from my work signed up (same external IP address), so party locked the account until I verified my details.

IMHO, I dont see this as a potential scam. It's got the partypoker name plastered all over it. If pokernow is out there to scam people, its going to take party down with it.

It's all good! $500 deposit - $200 bonus after 1000 hands, plus $25, plus a book on the way, yea!
