Default $22 Do I have to fold? I don\'t want to.

My preflop raise failed to thin the field.

I decided not to make a continuation bet here because I felt a 150-180 or larger bet would, if called, make an irresistably large pot on the Turn. And there were just too many players behind me.

It seemed fairly certain that calling the flop bet was going to leave me pot committed. I seem to get way more 8-10th place finishes than I should, and I imagine hands like this could be a factor.

I think it would be a relatively easy fold if the flop bet hadn't come from the short-stack. In a way, I didn't know much what to make of the two calls he got, but they seemed to signify at least some sort of strength.

What would you do?

Folds and waits for a better spot to put his stack at risk. I would hope to see an AK and possibly some diamonds from the callers, so why risk it on a situation when you're likely behind?

This is why I prefer limp this hand on level one from UTG. You can't thin the field in a 22 with a 60 chip raise. Now you are out of position in a 5 handed big pot. I fold this one with that action, you are clearly behind and have enough chips to continue.

clearly behind....pardon my french, but no f'n way are you CLEARLY behind. Yes, you may be, but you also might be leading. Shorty could have anything, one caller is on a flush draw, and the other might have a lower ace. With these pot odds, and a chance to build a giant stack, its gotta be a push!

Clear fold... there is just no way your hand is best here and you are drawing to a split pot in all likelihood.

Raising to 60 almost never thins the field. Usually, if they were going to call 15, they'll call 60. This is why I'd limp AQ EP level 1. I lead the flop and probably call if there is one raise behind me. The multiple callers makes it more difficult. If it were just one, I'd put him on a weak ace, king, flush draw, or gunshot draw. But with that many callers, it looks too dangerous to continue.

Save this thread. A month from now, instead of posting "Why do I suck?", you can just reread this and answer the question for yourself. Assuming you still have enough money to be playing a month from now.
