Default Party 500K Hand, Flopped Full House

Very early in the tournament. Blinds still at 10/15. No reads on anyone.

3 limpers, Hero completes, BB checks

Flop: (75) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

4 checks, Button bets 25, Hero calls, MP1 calls

Turn: (150) [J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero bets 85, MP1 calls, Button folds

River: (320) [J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero bets 200, MP1 raises to 600, Hero re-raises all-in to 1345

My uncertainty has to do with my final raise.

And no, this is not a bad beat post. If you cannot see why, then I am sorry.

FWIW, I think you're both committed so your raise is fine.

I think it's more a question of what does he raise with here that I still beat. And moreover, what will he call my final raise with that I beat?

Those last 500 or so chips just don't seem worth risking my tournament life on.

It's called a 'flush.'

While your read is fascinating, it's not entirely correct. I don't think people who put up 215 dollars to play in this thing are calling with a flush.

Firstly, interesting scenario.

Secondly, I prefer calling. I'd rather have T700 chips left and be alive than busting. If you reraise and your
hand is good you double up. If you call the raise than
you have around T2300 if you win. Against an unknown player
I'd rather live another day rather than have T700 more in chips. With T700 in chips with the blinds still small you
are certainly not dead meat. Perhaps I'm a weak tighty,
but I'll assume my opponent is not blind and he is aware that the board is paired. If so than about all you can beat is pocket Fours.

I prefer leading on the flop. I think you'll find by betting out you'll win bigger pots in general.
