Default MP3 player for a 14-15 yr old boy, is Sandisk a decent brand?

Sandisk 256MB

This is for a birthday so I don't want to go over $50. I don't want something thats going to break right away either. Anyone know anything about this brand?

Sorry for posting this here but I have no clue when it comes to MP3 players.

I have the 512 MB version, it's fairly nice. I wouldn't buy one again without at least 2 GB or so.

If You don't want to spend much money I suggest an mp3 cd player.

Just like a normal cd, but you can put mp3s on a cd and they take up less space. Instead of fitting 10 songs you can fit 120 on one cd.

Yeah, I just saw an Ipod Shuffle 512MB player on sale for $59.99 in the paper today so I will be going with that.

The sandisk is quite a lot nicer than the shuffle.

Most kids care more about name brands than features.

I concur. That's at most three stolen bikes.
