Default Montior Question: I want to fit 4 tables

I'm trying to fit 4 Party tables with no overlap in my 17-in monitor. The max resolution (I'm not sure if this is the right term) I can set is 1280 x 1024. I can work with this, but I still have some overlap on the edges of the table. How can I increase the screen "real-estate so I can fit all 4 tables with no overlaps? Am I limited to 1280 x 1024 because of my screen or because of my computer?

It's because of your screen. You need a monitor that will support 1600x1200 to fit four screens with no overlap. I have a 20.1" monitor and it supports 1600x1200.

I tried out PokerChamps.com which is in Beta Test stage right now and they have a really nice setup for playing multiple tables. The client will actually have one big window divided into 4 parts so that you don't have to worry about arranging your table windows. The client is pretty nice and I might even try some real money play there. I mention this because hopefully other sites will consider adopting similiar methods to make it easier to play mutliple tables on a small monitor.

That sounds like a great feature.

no, your monitor has to be able to support the resolution.

So if you want 4 windows with no overlap, you gotta upgrade monitors

Here's where we would normally be raving about the slick new monitors we just bought, but Dell isn't giving me a kickback, so I'll refrain.

To see four tables at once, you need two things:
1. Monitor that supports 1600x1200 resolution
2. Video card that supports 1600x1200 resolution

You should check the specs of both to see where you stand.

Default Dell is having a crazy sale

For a refurbished 20.1" 2001FP LCD monitor it's only $698.00. That's just nuts. It's supports 1600x1200 so you can fit all 4 tables with no overlap.

I was going to get the 19" for $528 but the 20.1" for 698 was too good to pass up I ordered one last friday.
