Default Posted in the CO with QTs

Edit: Sorry, forgot reads: Villain is a TAG 15/10 with normal TAG aggression. BB is semi-tight and aggressive.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $3.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero (poster) calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB calls.

Flop: (6.33 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>

Standard?

I like it. But:

Read? What's your plan if BB cold calls and Villain calls? What if BB folds and Villain calls? What if Villain 3-bets? What if Villain pulls a stop 'n' go on the turn and you don't improve? I think that having a plan is important when making a play.

I'm jealous of your location. Speaking of which, I should be studying. Sigh.

Jiggified.

Assuming there wasn't a three bet on the turn you have to bet any non-paint - save the Queen.

Take a free card unless you pair up.

Bet the (EDIT: non-ace) turn and river.

If I didn't improve on the turn, I was betting if checked to. I was checking behind on a club turn. Obviously betting a T or Q.

Same as above.

Calling and folding the turn UI.

Ummm...fold? You have no hand and an extremely weak overcard draw that may be dominated. You almost certainly do not have the best hand. You're not heads up and you're facing a pre-flop raiser from a non-steal position.

I think "await a better situation" is the appropriate play.

Some people raise subpar hands from earlier positions than normal when there's a poster.

It's time to get out of the kiddie pool and start making some moves. Some advantages to making plays like this are

0. Punish those who try and steal posts.
1. We only have to steal a few pots in this situation for this play to be profitable.
2. If we are called down, observant opponents will see this play and we become harder to read. This obviously has advantages.
3. It's important to play non-ABC poker at the higher limits. Practice now.

As far as "await[ing] a better situation," this is actually a pretty good situation. We have two overcards, a backdoor flush draw and a backdoor straight draw. The pot is 7.33 SB. We're not in terrible shape.
