Default PokerRoom bonus

So I threw some money into my PokerRoom account which had been dormant for 2 reasons. I have some friends that play and since they only have Macs, its the only site they can use. And I noticed they were offering a 30% bonus.

So I throw $100 in and see that I need to earn 210 player points to earn the 30 bucks. I sit down and play the .25/.50 NL tables and after a while I get up and check my points. I had accumulated like 6 points, and I think that seems pretty low for the amount of time sat.

I look at their rules for points and see that the rake needs to be .50 or more to even earn a half point, and $1 to earn one point. Unfortunately, the people sit at these tables with like $15 and $20 stacks, making it very hard for pots to get large enough to earn any points.

Has anyone else experienced this with PR? Is this bonus even worth trying for?

Unless you can build up a larger BR to multitable AT LEAST 1/2 Limit, .5/1 PL/NL, then Pokerroom bonii (bonuses-whatever) are not worth chasing

I gave up on mine and I play 1/2 limit. Just to many other things out there that are more worth my time in my opinion.

Def only for 2/4 only, I did one a while back on 1/2 for 200 dollars, 1400 pts, took about 21 hours total....def not worth it under 2/4.

I'm hurting as well. I'm playing 0.50-1.00 limit and after 23 hours of play I only have 204 points. this is at 1400 hundred hands. What a way to start my first bonus whoring adventures...

This is just a ridiculous assessment. $200 for 20 hours of play = $10/hr. $10/hr is great money for someone only bankrolled or good enough to play 1/2. If you are 4 Tabling and can win 1.5BB/hr, then you would be making over $20/hr clearing this bonus.

Again youre playing at a limit of $2, how the hell can $20 an hour "def not be worth it"?

I like working off Pokerroom bonus. I usually split it up between two weeks so I get two 3000 and two 6000 freerolls. I play 2/4 though.

It is tough to clear. I just completed it 3 tabling 2/4. I only deposited around $700 (bonus was $141). I had to play 2213 hands in order to accumulate the 987 Player Points required.

On a positive note (begin brag thread here) I had a fairly good run.

Total Hands: 2213
VPIP: 15.95
Att. to Steal: 19.42
Won $ At SD: 63.71
PF Raise: 6.15

BB/100: 6.21 (+550.00)

AF: 3.67/4.48/3.29 Total: 3.80

Total Rake: 113.00

Ahhh. You're a smarter man than I. Didn't even think about dividing it into 2 weeks for the freerolls.

Next time.
