Default Rethinking my game: 42s in the BB

This situation came up in another forum. I thought my replies were standard, but a bunch of people are saying I'm wrong. Thought I'd take it to a strategy forum to double-check my thinking.

A semi-tilting TAG raises UTG. The table folds to you in the BB with 42s.

1) What is your action and why?
2) Does your action change if there are cold-callers between you and UTG?

1) Easy fold. Your hand is really bad HU.
2) With cold-callers this might be worth a call. But you better get good odds to call with such a weak hand.

Fold. 4-high has no showdown value, and an aggressive tilter will probably show down K-high, and bet it the whole way. You are nowhere near even money to win this hand, so why play heads-up?

Certainly this changes with cold-callers. You get two or three, you can probably see a flop, esp since you're closing the action and in for half already.

Without even blinking an eye - fold and move on.

Toss.

You're out of position to boot.

Thanks everybody. It seemed like the easiest fold in the world to me, too. I was surprised to see quite a few 2+2ers not only argue that this was an easy call, but point out that I suck for folding.

I should know better than to expect intelligent poker analysis in the Zoo, I guess.

1) Turbo-muck. 42s sucks HU and you're not getting anywhere near the odds you need to play for the potential flush or straight draws you might flop.

2) If I have two cold callers, I'll pay the 1 bet to play because then you're getting the odds to play, and you may spike a two pair or trips.

Easy fold. IMO you need 3-4 cold callers to play this.
