I am not. Doesn't mean I will sit in a bad game (although I will).

I may be too - at least that's what I get in the chat boxes a lot. I don't quite understand it b/c I have the same VPIP, WTSD, and W$@SD %s as the people telling me I'm a nit.

Some people seem to think that folding pocket tens on a flop of AQ7 with heavy betting qualifies you as a nit - I like to think of it as not being retarded and chucking money in the tiolet. But that's just me.

This is not what he's talking about.

I personally think being a nit as Daniel describes is quite the character flaw.

I think not putting "low content" in the thread title was a mistake.

Are you sure?

I have to be honest with myself, I'm becoming more and more cynical in my pokerplay. Ever since I read the "Advise from a MHNL" (I don't remember what # it was, think it was 2) I have tried my best to hunt donks, get position on them, and isolate them. I think only of EV and never do anything at the table that's not to my own benefit. The exception is when I stay in a game playing HU versus a winning player, but I do that because I love the challenge and I want to intimidate him for future occasions.

I don't think it is as bad as Negreanu puts it, but I felt the article hit my attitude towards the game

Yeah I agree. If it happened the way described Dreamclown behaved ignorantly and rudely.

Not much wrong beeing a nit (in the way Daniel talks about it) at Internet poker unless you are playing HU (or maybe 3-handed) for high stakes imo.

And I guess I am a nit, at least trying to be one to maximize the EV.

Yes. I won't stay in a HU match unless my opponent has a reasonable stack. But it's a little different in lower-limit HU situations where the rake is a bigger factor.
