Re: Play this flop fast or slow? You make the call!
Folding pf is giving up way too much. I routinely will fold a hand like this in ep or mp, but when you're on the button this is an easy limp. You have position on the entire table which you can use to your advantage for the rest of the hand. This will allow you to maximize your winnings and minimize your losses when you flop a trouble hand.

Re: Play this flop fast or slow? You make the call!
I pin my ears back and charge full steam ahead. Keep betting until they give you a reason to stop. Their re raise wouldn't be enough for me to stop.
YOU HAVE TO RAISE THERE!!!! Most kings will call, diamond draws will call, straight draws will call. Oh yeah, and some stoner may reraise, then WHA BAM!!!! Capsville. I would only slow down if a scare card hit the turn and BOY are there a bunch of them. So let the chips fly on the flop. |

Re: Play this flop fast or slow? You make the call!
well, first off, I did raise the flop, everyone folded but the bettor, bet the turn, bet the river and my opponent folded. I was wondering if anyone calls there with the intention of raising the turn and winning a bigger pot. But I guess not...
As for PF, I generally limp along with QJo behind limpers on the button - it's a "group 5" hand, HPFAP would have you playing even worse hands in this situation, like JT, or maybe even KT. It's also been generally profitable from LP for me. |

Re: Play this flop fast or slow? You make the call!
But pokerroom's statistics are generated by random players. The EV of QJs in the hands of someone who knows how to play it is probably closer to .5 or .6
For good players, I'd bet the EV of many hands is double or more what pokerroom says (other than AA/KK/QQ). |

What J.R. says about QJo is very true. Muck it. Raise KQ.
