Default crying myself to sleep

So I'm in this 300 dollar pot OOP and on the river the 4th spade hits. I have top two pair no spade and I cry and I click the fold button, thinking fold was check/fold. If villain bet I was beat. Villain checks, and without getting a prompt euro mucks my hand. Then I cry and realize fold does not get you a prompt. Its a sad day.

My favorite thing about your threads is that the word "sleep" is in 75% of the titles.

That being said, that sucks.

well villain there was some turn action and villain had taken the hand over. So I was not planning to bet the river if checked to.

the only thing i am positive about in poker is that you should value bet the river despite a 4 flush. i clearly cant even play aa, but i am absolutely completely certainly beyond a doubt positive that value betting is correct.

this is kinda funny despite hte point that I can't even get the hand straight anymore plus you did not see the hand. You are just telling me to value bet a 4 flush. Do you cap the turn with top 2 and think u are ahead everytime? In this case after the turn I was already in call down mode. How can I value bet a FOURTH fluhs now!?!?!

Yup. Not only did you miss the pot, but you also missed a bet.
