Did you put someone on AQ or KQ or Q9?

On the flop, you are last to act with respect to the bettor. The pot contains 19 small bets. You have 3 clean outs among the 47 unseen cards to the nut straight on the turn. You also have 5 outs to a five-card hand would not be the nuts. You have some chance of winning without improvement. Although you may headed for a split if you make a straight on the turn, hands like ace-high clubs or a set will probably see the river.

In the absence of a read, folding on the flop doesn't sound like an especically good play.

also, if your conclusion is as you stated then the mistake is unlikely to be repeated and your play will benefit.
