You aknowledged by laying this down on the flop its very likely you're against a better overpair.

The standard line is playing JJ for set value, unless you have position.

The problem w/ folding $20 is you're getting great odds. I would consider leading the flop; did you have any reads?

I probably fold this preflop to the re-reraise. You are calling for set value as surely you have to put MP on AA or KK. I'm not sure that you therefore have odds to call the extra $12.

I'm also folding on the flop, even though it seems 1 hell of an odd bet

I play full ring, not 6max, but i dont normally reraise JJ OOP

I think this might be correct. If it isn't, [ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ] this certainly is.

I think I like the flop fold. But because I fold the flop I think the previous streets have to be wrong.

With no reads, villian almost always has AA,KK, QQ. The preflop reraise isn't a bad idea initially, but when you get popped back that much I think you have to lay it down because the stacks aren't deep enough for you to get paid off if you nail your set. Wait for a better spot.

Calling and playing for set value is a good default play here. If you have a good feel for the table, and decide to raise PF, you need to raise more. All you did was sweeten the pot a little making it $8. Make it $12 minimum.
