Default Odwalla Juice: Is it good for you?

I just picked up a "Strawberry C Monster" at the store because I thought I could use some vitamins and juice.

Then I notice that the thing has 58 grams of sugar! That's more than a can of Coke, I think.

Does it make a difference that it's natural sugar instead of refined? (IE: Sugar is not an ingredient... just a part of the juice they add).

The ingredients are, in order: Orange Juice, Strawberry Puree, Apple Juice, Honey, Concord Grape Juice, Vitamin C, Lemon Bioflavonoids and Rose Hips.

Yes. It's the difference between drinking a can of soda and eating an apple.

Well, moderation in all things, but a glass of orange juice will almost always be better than a class of coke.

but not REALLY. that's what i'm saying. a lot of it is just in your head. you like to think orange juice = good, coke = bad. if you're talking about losing weight, it's all calories.

Drinking one of those is like eating a meal.

I don't care about losing weight.... I just don't want to add any extra while I'm laid up with this sprained ankle.

same thing.. in other words, if you're talking about nutritional value, the juice clearly has the edge over the coke, which essentially has NO nutritional value. if you're talking about not wanting to put on weight, they are essentially the same.
