With 100BB stacks and a preflop raise, yes.

It is faulty thinking to assume the villain will always play TPTK like this just because he did it once. If you never play AK like he did, you are leaving money on the table.

[/ QUOTE ]

i never play AK like he did without a read

maybe its a leak to give benefit of the doubt for the first time?

Fair enough. I don't normally play it that aggressively without a read either 6-handed but at 4-handed or fewer, I definitely jack up the aggression.

The point of the story was the reaction to the beat; he took it in stride and was neither surprised or angry with what I turned over. That's usually the sign of a tough player.

Leaving that table is -EV.

I agree, not because of the players but because of the image you just established with pushing all in on a draw. I think these players are more likley to call your pushes now and put you on a draw. I would tighten down a bit and wait for another push, this time not on a draw.

While that's a profitable adjustment to make, its more profitable to go to a different table. I can't believe that I, the king of non-table-selection am making this argument.

The guy gave Ghaz a vibe that he might be a tough player. why stay and invest a couple of buy-ins to either prove or disprove your analysis? I think the point of the post was there are greener pastures and it is better to shoot fish in a barrel then travel 6 hrs out into the ocean and wait fro them to come to you.

When I've seen you playing, which hasn't been too much your table selection has been horrible.

With a possible straight and flushdraw out there isn't a push or a fold the only two alternatives? Would you fold AK here if you were villain?

I probably do, yes.

The only strength in Ghazbans argument imo is

"You stupid %$#^%, you called all-in on a draw?!?!?! OMG, Party iz r1gg3d!!11!"

This reminds me of the type of very sarcastic attitude lots of people have on 2+2, still, I think pushing AKo there is not smart.
