Default 6 max maniac table

playing 1/2 NL @ VC, a bunch of LAG's at my table, all playing aggressive, sometimes with cards sometimes without,
but throwing their money, so the pots are about 200-300 on a regular basis, so im just waitin..
hero (~100$)
villian (300$)

hero in bB: AKo
it's limped around with 2-3 players and i raise it to 10$.
MP calls the 8$ and the flop comes

pot(~$30) QsJhTh
i check it, and the villian checks it. (suspicious but i have been check raising huge)

turn comes Qd.
I check once again, hoping that this card helps him.
Villian bets 20$, I raise to 60$, he pushes me all in.
I calls.

K comes on river..
final pot. (~220)

Yes, i know I didnt put any money in on the flop, but this table was crazy and I had been playing aggressively the whole time, i was tryin to induce a bluff which occured on a high basis. I went a little nuts on the turn i suppose.

But the range i put him on.. was huge.

bad play or VERY bad play?

therefore, bet the flop when you're holding the nuts

i hate it when people say 'induce this' or 'induce that'. i think it's much better on this board to bet yourself rather than 'induce your opponent to bluff'. you have a hand, you have the nuts, but it's vulnerable - the easiest way to get money into the pot is by putting it there yourself. inducing a bluff like this sucks on such a very connected and draw heavy board. id rather bet, get raised by 2-pair, heart draws, pair + straight draws, and try to get it in as soon as possible than check and have him try to bluff me with nothing

if you've been betting with less than the nuts, but checking with the nuts, you are going to be easy to read.

all the table conditions are right for you to bet this flop.

Yeah, agree with yvesaint. Been burnt by this way too many times. And with bad position, I don't like to mess around.

What did Villain have?

Repeat with me:
I won't slowplay flopped broadway straights.
I won't slowplay flopped broadway straights.
I won't slowplay flopped broadway straights.
I won't slowplay flopped broadway straights.

Like this example, there are many cards that can make you want to puke.
