Default Best rock albums since 1990

CMI, jason_t and I were having a huge debate on AIM what the best five albums in the last 15 years are. I can't make up my mind, there's like 30 albums that could be top five material. They both have pretty nailed down lists.

I'm just glad CMI limited it to just rock, as there'd be about a dozen rap/hip-hop albums that would be up for consideration too.

Post your top ten list. My only definitive ones are:

#1: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco
#2: Nevermind by Nirvana

Other possible candidates for the top ten:
Beck - Odelay!
Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Green Day - Dookie and American Idiot
Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antarctica
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Nirvana - In Utero
Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
Pavement - Slanted & Enchanted and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
Radiohead - Kid A and OK Computer
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Spoon - Kill the Moonlight, Gimme Fiction
Weezer - Weezer
The White Stripes - White Blood Cells

There's no way I could narrow it down so I won't even try, but I just wanted to say how bizarre it is to see Oasis and Neutral Milk Hotel together on any list.

This is a really good list. I might have to throw And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - Source Tags and Code (as long as we are putting spoon/modest mouse/bright eyes and such). I think that album is perfect.

My list looks similar to yours, as well as

Pearl Jam - Ten
Tool - Lateralus/Aenima
Weezer - Pinkerton
The Shins - CTN or OIW, depending on mood
The Arcade Fire - Funeral
Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
Elliott Smith - XO
The New Pornographers - Electric Version
R.E.M. - Out of Time
Spiritualized - Let it Come Down

Another part of the discussion was how blasphemous I am for liking CTN more than OIW, as well as for liking Yoshimi more than Soft Bulletin.
