Default Playing KK slooooowwwwwwwwwwww

UB 10-25. Agressive game, as most of these are. I have KK in the SB. Folded around to cutoff, who limps. I raise to 100. BB calls, CO folds.

Flop: 6 2 2 R

I check, BB bets 225, I call.

Turn: offsuit J

I check, he checks.

River: 9

I bet 400, he raises all in to 1200, I call.

Anybody like the line?

-Evan

NO, I would go for c/r flop or leading out on turn, you kind of butcher it the way you play it.

Actually, I kinda like the river bet, because it kinda looks like you are trying to buy the pot with a river big bet after he slows down. However, I really dont like getting all my money in with just one pair on the river....he definitely doesnt have aces...is 99 out of the question?

I don't have a problem only because you have two pair here. If he was defending with something like AJ, J9, you have him trapped.

Best case scenario - he hit his jack on the turn.
Worst case - he had 99, tested the flop, has you on river.

when the board pairs the 2s this line looks good. I put him on a bluff here.

If its not a bluff, Hero cant be ahead, can he? What worse hand would villain be raising for value here? To raise w/AJ there seems pretty silly.

Stated as aggressive game - to bet AJ on the flop, and check when it hits, then reraise a blocking river bet fits.

edit - the all in reraise does not fit however.... little too aggressive. I still call tho'
