Default Cooling down from 6-max... A4o hand.

Just sat down and no reads, but based on the hand I just saw, I suspect the BB is TAG.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $2.
UTG calls, 5 folds, Hero (poster) checks, 2 folds, BB checks.

Flop: (3.50 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, BB calls, UTG folds.

Turn: (2.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (4.75 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 5.75 BB

I would have checked on the river if checked to.

Is that because you think I'm probably behind when he check-calls the flop?

raise preflop.

After that you probably did just fine, of course, I trust KO's opinion on this more than mine.

I'd raise preflop.

As it played out, I would typically call the river and be very very confused.

raise preflop, basically your hand is pretty good, and you would like it HU with the limper, you already posted so its a discount isolation

normally I wouldn't isolate with A4o, but this is a good spot

otherwise looks good

I really don't want to give a free card in this situation, and it's an easy fold to a raise. I like the turn bet, river check idea.
