WINSTAR CASINO
exit 1 I-35 oklahoma
opened the poker room back in may or so, and all the Dallas/Fort Worth people attacked it. best part is that the lowest limits they started were 4/8 lmit and 2/5 nl (min 300/max 500 buy-in). you had 2/5 no playing like a 1/2 or worse nl(vegas) game and 4/8 playing like 1/2 or 2/4 limit(vegas) at best. basically a lot of people with too much money wanting action.

Unfortunately Winstar now spreads 1/2 NL. The games are still for the most part very good.

Certain games in Dallas/Fort Worth are spectacular. Just gotta find the right ones. It all depends on who's playing where.

The beauty of Winstar is that you can typically find a spectacular game somewhere in the room. In DFW, you might have to go to 4 or 5 places on a given night to find the super spectacular game. It's a trade off.

Given the amount that can be won, the borgata 2-5 and 5-10 are pretty damn soft.

The two softest 2/4 games are at the Sands in AC and Luxor in Las Vegas. There are lots of inexperienced players and calling stations who stay in raised pots with little chance of winning. $8/hour is a reasonable expectation in these games

Any low limit game at Greektown immediately after a Detroit Tigers game.

As previously stated, the 5-150 spread limit at Casino Arizona is ridiculous. Half of the table in every raised pot.

Harrah's in Topeka, KS on the weekends is beautiful as well. Loose-passives and drunk cowboys galore. Often on the weeknights, some KU kids come and play a pretty solid TAG game.

Has anyone else noticed games in/near college towns being generally harder to crack?

At Foxwoods it would be the 1-2 NL game, it's one of the softest in the country, the 2-5 NL and 20-40 game are also good enough to be up there in the top 10% of soft games

Isn't pretty much every 4/8 game super weak? Has anyone actually sat in a 4/8 game that was tough?

Yes, late on the swing shift at Fort McDowell (PHX) when there is nothing but dealers, the prop, myself and my buddy. Totally tough. If you are lucky there will be one drunk still left, the rest are TAG or sLAG.

How could a game filled with dealers be "totally tough"?
